They will be able to assist you with a new passport if you had lost your passport or are in need of consular assistance while in the country. Search this website on how to apply for a visa such as a visitors visa, fiancee visa or a skills visa. Note that the High Commission is open from 8.00am to 4.30pm on weekdays except for public holidays. There has also been changes to lost passports. There is no fee for a lost passport however if it has occurred more than once the validity of your passports will be shortened.
Note also the High Commission IDD Code: 679 which may be helpful while on the island. Passport issues require an appointment (available between 08:30am – 12:00pm weekdays, except for Public Holidays) are required for passport applications. You should not attend the Australian High Commission without an appointment. You can call them at telephone (679) 3388 236 or emailing suva.passports@dfat.gov.au. Appointments are also required for notarial services so ensure that you call first for an appointment.
