On holiday in Brunei and you need consular assistance as you lost your passport. Not to worry as the Australian High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan is easy enough to find. They will issue you with a new passport or register a birth or provide you with access to a public notary. Note that there is a limit to what the High Commission can provide you with. The High Commission is close to the Canadian High Commission as well as the French Embassy.
If you wish to apply for an Australian Visa then you need to send an email to VFS in Malaysia as all the visa applications for Brunei are send to Malaysia. See their contact details listed below the map to the offices of the High Commission.
