On holiday in Bangladesh and lost your passport then don’t worry as the Australian High Commission Bangladesh will be able to issue you with a temporary visa. The High Commission can provide you with consular assistance such as birth registration, death registration as well as giving you access to a public notary which you will have to pay for.
If you are wanting to apply for an Australia visa then you need to contact VFS as listed below and apply from their website. The High Commission does not deal with visa applications. There are a number of visa options such as a carer visa, looking after ill family members in Australia. There is also a visitors visa if you wish to visit Australia. There is a partner visa if you live together with an Australian national as husband and wife for at least 2 years prior to your application and of course there is a skills visa.
See the map to the High Commission below as it is not far from the American International School and the British High Commission in Bangladesh.
