Visiting Egypt and in need of assistance with a lost passport, then contact the Australian Embassy in Egypt. Note that there is a limit to consular assistance and you need to read what they can and cannot provide. The Embassy can also provide you with assistance with birth registration, issue a passport and also assist with death registration.
If you are an Egyptian then you can apply for an Australian visa from Egypt. Note that there are a number of options such as a skills visa or partner visa if you have lived together for more than 2 years with an Australian national. There is also a last relative visa if your mother-in-law as an example is the last relative and as long as she meets the requirements she too can move to Australia.
See the rest of the website for more information about Australian Immigration and also see the contact details for the visa application process in Egypt.
